The songs of one of the world’s greats brought to you through the spine tingling voice of Caitriona Fallon

Twenty-five years after her death, Eva Cassidy’s music is as timeless as ever. A voice that was uniquely soulful, she connected emotionally with the world, bringing them interpretations of jazz, folk and blues music and a version of Over the Rainbow, which arguably is the best the world had ever heard. This show pays homage to a legend.

Featuring former lead vocalist of “Riverdance The Show” World Tour, Caitriona Fallon has performed at the renowned Cork Guinness Jazz Festival and Cheltenham Jazz Festivals in the UK and Ireland, and is known to Tauranga for her breath-taking performances in Tarnished Frocks and Divas.

Playing Wayfaring Stranger, Blue Skies, Danny Boy and Over the Rainbow, there will be pin drop moments with voice and piano, tasty guitar solos, to full band, foot tapping, head nodding energy. Leon Gray on piano, Wayne Melville on bass, Aaron Wright on guitar, Marc Anderson on drums.

COVID-19 Update

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on Saturday afternoon tighter border controls, with everyone arriving in New Zealand having to isolate themselves for 14 days. There will be an official government directive on mass gatherings announced early next week.

We are awaiting details of the official requirements from government and local authorities and will update you as soon as possible if this could have any impact on this year’s National Jazz Festival and National Youth Jazz Competition.

Many thanks for your interest and support.
