BOP Symphonia: Symphony of Jazz
Hear a dazzling selection of jazz influenced orchestral music.

For the first time at the National Jazz Festival, the BOP Symphonia will jazz it up with Joplin, Gershwin and Ellington.
Featuring piano soloist Soomin Kim – winner of the BoPS Rising Stars concerto competition (2015) who has performed as soloist with the Auckland Philharmonia.
Justus Rozemond, the BOP Symphonia MD and Conductor since 2012 has arranged some of the works in the programme – the cross-over Ellington Suite: The River has probably not been performed in New Zealand before, while the orchestration of the Joplin Overture to Treemonisha was produced especially for this very occasion.
