Jan Preston’s Boogie Duo

JAN PRESTON is a knockout singer and pianist who has captured audiences around the world.

She has created her own blues/boogie style trademarked by exceptional piano playing, together with her vibrant singing and skillful songwriting.

Winner of 5 music awards, Jan plays concerts and festivals throughout Australia NZ and Europe, writes music for film and TV, having just completed the score for her sister, Dame Gaylene Preston’s latest film “Grace”.

From a background in classical music, Jan joined Red Mole Theatre Troupe, and first played Blues in Wellington with Midge Marsden’s Country Flyers. She and Midge’s bass player, Neil Hannon, went on to form Auckland rock band COUP D’ETAT with Harry Lyon (Hello Sailor) who had a hit with the song Doctor I Like Your Medicine, after which in 1980 Jan moved to Sydney.
